It's that time again! Here is a little rant on the male ego and how it ties in with the fitness and strength and conditioning industries. Enjoy!

Who out there does not want a 6 pack? I hate to break this to you, but it may not be in the cards for you to achive this goal. Plus, it has been a while since I've ranted...

It's time to get back on the wagon. In a slightly ranting style, try following these guidelines to cure your Olympic sized hangover!

Lets get behind our athletes! We are less than a week away!

With the recent non-buzz of the upcoming Olympics I thought I would share my 34 cents worth. It's sad to see that the majority of the information regarding the Olympics is negative (including parts of my article). I don't mean to offend anyone (if I say this enough, I like to think people may believe me). I wanted to share some of my Olympic memories of my time in Salt Lake City during the 2002 games and compare them to some of the feelings the public may be feeling about our upcoming Olympics. If you take anything from this article, please remember the work some of these athletes are putting in for our enjoyment and for the pride of our great country.

I currently coach football, wrestling and rugby and work as a strength and conditioning coach for these sports as well. Over the years I have had many athletes and coaches alike ask what is the best exercise for strengthening the neck? My usual answer was to do 50meter sprints in a 40meter gym to not only strengthen the neck but also to improve one's physical appearance. All joking aside, my neck injuries are what ended my athletic career and is a very common injury concern for all contact sport athletes. I have had a lot of help from Andrea on this article and I hope that you find it useful. She is smart and I am not and I trust her views on this issue! I hope to have some videos up in the near future of some of the movements described in this article.

$130, 000 was cut from BC School Sports recently, but some schools were awarded a grant of $500, 000 to show their Olympic Spirit. Good idea! Take money from kids who are being active and give it to kids so they can cheer and watch the Olympics at home.

If you Google "weight loss" you will find that there are 88 100 100 results available for your viewing. I'm hoping you can skip through a few of them with a few simple tactics that work and do not require you to drink lemon water for the next 3 weeks.
